Carolyn Hoskinson

Mary “Carolyn” Hoskinson, age 74, of Titusville, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 2, 2019.  Carolyn was born December 12, 1944 in Orlando, Florida to Rev. D.V. and Mary McAllister, and came to Brevard County in 1960.  She graduated from Titusville High School in 1962.  She married William Hoskinson on November 4, 1967. 

Carolyn spent many years working for the Brevard County Sherriff’s Office and retired in 2002.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, particularly her grandchildren, and many friends.  She was a member of St. Luke’s Presbyterian Church, and was active in her sorority, Beta Sigma Phi.

She was preceded in death by her husband (William “Bill” Hoskinson), parents (Reverend D.V. and Mary McAllister), grandparents (Charles and Bertha Burnett), (Foster and Lucille Hardy), and her brother Mark McAllister. 

She is survived by her daughter Rebecca “Becky” and son-in-law David New; grandchildren Paige and Dawson New; brother Daniel McAllister; sister Donna Magin (Jerry); sister-in-law Janice McAllister; sister, Shawna McKay, and many nieces and nephews. 

A visitation will be held at 10am on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at St. Luke’s Presbyterian Church.  Memorial Service will be held directly after at 11am.

 In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations to Hospice of St. Francis 1250 Grumman Place Titusville, FL 32780. The family would like to express their gratitude for their warm kindness and awesome care.

Carolyn was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. She will be missed but not forgotten.
