Brian F Guilford
June 20, 1960 ~ February 12, 2024 (age 63) 63 Years Old
Brian F. Guilford known by many as just Gil, was born on June 20th, 1960, in Fruitville, Florida and died on February 12th, 2024, in Rockledge, Florida.
Gil started his law enforcement career as an MP in the United States Army. He went on to work at the Titusville Police department before finding his real home at the Brevard County’s Sheriff office where he retired after nearly 42 years of combined law enforcement service. Gil was a founding member of the Game Over task force and worked the last several years as a member of the U.S. Marshalls Task force fugitive unit.
Gil had a major impact on the lives of many during his career and by all definitions of the word completely devoted his life to his career and the service of his community.
Although he loved his “job” there was nothing he loved more than his family.
If you had a friend in Gil, you had a friend!
He was the epitome of a “Real Man” and he was one of a kind. There will never be another Guilford.
He had a lifetime love of guns and the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by his mother Louise Sparks Guilford, Father Benjamin Guilford, Nephew Danny Walker. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 40 years Marcia, Daughter Jessie Landry (Son-in law Shawn), Brother Willis “Bud” Walker, and Nephew David Walker.
The family will have a private service only. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Brevard County Sheriff's Office Charity, Inc. 700 S Park Ave, Titusville, FL 32780
