Obituary

It is with an extreme heavy heart that we inform you of the passing of Retired Titusville Police Commander Bobby Mutter. Bobby joined the Titusville Police family in May of 1981. Just two short years later he was transferred into the Detective Division where Bobby settled in and was able to display his superior ability to gather information through his unbelievable level of interpersonal skills. Bobby was truly gifted at getting people to talk to him. In 1993, Bobby was promoted to Sergeant which was followed by a promotion to Lieutenant in 1995, and Commander in 1999 where he was transferred back to his love of Investigations. In this position, Commander Bobby Mutter was able to teach and mentor dozens of young police officers to grow into well-groomed and experienced detectives. In addition, Bobby latterly started our modern K-9 unit with his own dog and ultimately has been recognized nationally for his K-9 training.

Bobby was recognized numerous times throughout his career including; Officer of the Month twice, Officer of the Year in 1983 & 1993, Florida council on Crime Award, four Unit Citations, Good Conduct Award, and Top Achiever in 2003.

Upon retiring from his career in law enforcement, Bobby began a new career in real estate in 1998. Soon after he found his new passion as a real estate agent, Bobby decided to take his abilities a step further and become his own Broker. Starting out in a small office with a couple of agents, it was obvious he would soon take his new business to a higher level. Expansion began and Mutter Real Estate Group soon became a highly respectable company and one of the largest in Brevard with over 35 agents.  Integrity and a good name meant a lot behind his drive to build this incredible team.

In all of Bobby’s accomplishments let it be remembered that he was Top of the Line, and that he had a great sense of humor and a soft heart.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Clara and his two sons, Trey Powers (Linda), Jimmy Mutter (Jennifer), Four Grandchildren; Sierra, Walker, Stephanie, & CJ and Two Great Grandchildren; Kylie & Branden, and he will remain in the hearts of countless others.
