Bess McLeod passed away in her home on April 9, 2024. She was born in Nanuet, N.Y., to Marjorie and Theodore Warner in 1927. Her brothers, Garrie and Theodore, are both deceased.
She was married to Leonard McLeod in 1947. Children Kathleen McLeod Quinton (husband Danny Quinton) and Richard Leonard McLeod (wife Joy Courtland McLeod). Grandchildren B.J. Quinton, Jonathan McLeod, Adam McLeod. Great grandchildren Caeden, Isabella, Gavin, and Quinn McLeod.
Known as “Aunt Bess” to many besides her family, Bess was loved by many and had an unlimited capacity to love.
She moved from Tappan, N.Y., to Titusville, Florida in 1974. Bessie worked for many years at Country Acres Parental Home in Titusville. She was an active member of Indian River City Methodist Church and was involved in the prayer shawl ministry. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Bess was passionate about gardening, knitting, and her family. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to Indian River City United Methodist Church, Legacy Fund, in Titusville; or Hospice of St. Francis, in Titusville.
