Ben C Glenn

Benjamin C. Glenn, 94, of Titusville passed away on Friday, April 22, 2022 while surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 11, 1927 to the late Claude and Rachel Glenn in Greenwood, MS and served our nation with great honor during World War II with the US Army. He was honorably discharged in 1947. Ben worked at the space center for many years until he retired from USBI as the director of quality control. He enjoyed woodworking, painting and fishing but, most of all he enjoyed his time as a loving husband, father and grandfather. Other than his parents, Ben is preceded in death by his wife, Melba Glenn whom he was married to for over seventy years, grandson Michael Poteet and sister Emily Wright. He will be greatly missed by his daughters Marilyn (Tony) Poteet and Susan Ray; son Patterson Glenn; grandchildren Patterson (Scott Redmerski) Glenn Jr., James Stuart Glenn, Jaret (Jessica) Glenn and Michelle Poteet; great grandchildren Alex Glenn, Elizabeth Lowe and Jacob Glenn and sister Frances (Barney) Sumrall. Visitation will be held at North Brevard Funeral Home on Friday, April 29, 2022 from 11-12PM. Graveside services will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens at 12PM. Memorial contributions may be made in Ben’s name to St. Jude Children’s hospital.
