Dr Barbara Henderson Row

Barbara was the daughter of Rex and Irene Henderson and spent her early life in Marietta, Georgia. After graduation from Marietta High School, she attended West Georgia College in Carrollton, Ga where she received a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. She later enrolled in Auburn University where she received both a master’s degree and Doctors degree in Education.  She was married to Howell (Hal) Row and after graduation they moved to Titusville, Fla where she accepted a position with the Brevard County School System as a reading specialist.  She served with the Brevard County School System until her retirement in 2000. During her career she served as the Principal of Pinewood Elementary School, Apollo Elementary School and Oak Park Elementary School.  Barbara was active in the First United Methodist church of Titusville where she served in the nursery program for many years.  She enjoyed sports of all kinds and played on many Brevard County Recreation Department softball and basketball teams. The focus of her later life was the association with grandchildren and great grandchildren

Barbara is survived by her husband Howell of 59 years, her three children, Sharon Godfrey, Rhonda Gordon and Bill Row, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren all of Titusville, 2 sisters, MaryAnn Awtrey of Marietta, Ga., Brenda Martinez of Coral Gables, Fl and 1 brother Rex Henderson of Hot Springs Ak.

A Celebration of Life is planned at The Vineyards at Black Willow on October 19. 2021 from 4:00PM to 6:30Pm.  Come when you can and stay as long as you like.
