April Louise Barber passed away on July 16, 2021 at the age of 70. She was born to the late, Thomas and Sarah Roberts on December 9, 1950 in Atlanta, Georgia. April worked as a Real Estate Administrator for many years. She moved to Titusville in 1991 and began her public safety career as a 911 dispatcher and retired from Titusville Police Department many moons later. Her love for horror movies and music was so great that her last breaths were taken to “There’s a Light (Over at the Frankenstein Place)” from the Rocky Horror Picture Show. She always did it Her Way, for sure. She also enjoyed the timeless music of The Beatles, Mac Davis, Bruce Springsteen and John Mayer. She loved her family, her children, and her “Grands” completely. However, it’s a known fact that her love for Mark Harmon (from the hero in NCIS to the creep role of Ted Bundy) and her Dogs (they were her heartbeat and headache) trumped all. She will be deeply missed by all those that loved her.
April is survived by her Daughter and Son in Law, Dawn and Evan Hightower; Son, Matthew Barber; Grandchildren: Madison, Iris Hightower, Tristan Barber, Luke Hightower and Kiera Barber; Brother, Steve Roberts and baby sister, Kathi Robberts; Nephews and Niece Daniel Williams, Brad Roberts, Courtney Bishop, and Clint Williams ; Beloved Pups Sophie, Oscar, Lucky, and Killer; Kitties, Hiccup and Toothless; and many, many “adopted” children throughout her years of being “Mama”. She is preceded in death by her grandson, Grayson Hightower.
There will be a family planned Celebration in her honor on July 31, 2021. Please leave your condolences at www.northbrevardfuneralhome.com
