Anna L. (Williams) Taylor Calbough of Titusville passed on October 9, 2020 after a long illness.
Born 1939 in Warrick County, Indiana, Anna was a "working mom" decades before the phrase became popular. She successfully raised two children; her son by her first marriage, Joseph R. Taylor of Glen Burnie, MD, and; a stepson by her second marriage, Robert N. Calbough of Titusville.
Anna married Joseph Robert Taylor of Newburgh, Indiana on December 24, 1956. Her second marriage, to James Nathaniel Calbough of Dayton, Tennessee, on September 28, 1962 lasted 55 years.
Though her first marriage was into one of Warrick County's founding families, Anna was also a pioneer and trailblazer in her own right. She was truly a self-made businesswoman in a time when such women were all but unheard of. Successful in all she did, she was often referred to as a class act in her professional and personal lives. Very few knew of her modest beginnings and how hard she worked to overcome them. She was loved and respected by all who came to know her.
