Amanda was a Graduate of Titusville High, University of Central Florida and Barry University School of Law. She was a Central Florida Attorney and long time employee of Brevard County Clerk of Courts.

Amanda was greatly loved by family and friends around the World.

About three years ago Amanda was diagnosed with Stage 4 Melanoma Cancer and fought so gracefully until Saturday evening when she went home to be with the Lord.

However, she was so much more than just a woman battling cancer; that was only a chapter in the story of her life.

Amanda was such an important person to countless people. She had such a unique friendship with each person in her life. Her most cherished role was that of a mother to her sweet daughter, Aislin, and her loving husband, Rick and to her Parents.

She was an inspiration and support system to so many that were also battling cancer and a proud child of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. After her diagnosis she could have chosen to simply lose all hope and give up.

However, she chose to be a bright flame for her faith, family & friends. Amanda even started a blog for others battling cancer. Her blogs were so beautifully written and showed just how beautiful she was as a person.

Amanda was a great writer like her Mother, and assisted her Mother with the draft writings of her Mother, Pamela Ford Larkins’ Memoir “Surviving The South” and another book “ The Alter Boys”  both true stories. Amanda felt her Mother’s Story should be told “as it's important to American History as Wayne Flynt, World renowned Writer on Southern Culture, Southern Politics, Southern Religion and Southern Poverty expert agreed.

Amanda used her diagnosis to reach out to others about melanoma awareness by doing interviews, podcasts, and articles. (Good Morning America, NBC and CBS News, many radio station interviews, Many Newspaper Articles, her Blog, EEARSS Podcast, AdjustTheMicPodcast). She even set up events for the local high school students where she herself attended. She even patented “LOVE & SUNBLOCK”.

Amanda was in constant contact with others around the country and World with their cancer battles. Acting as an inspiration for so many to keep fighting despite her circumstances. She was a warrior in a situation that we all pray to never be in, yet she still stood tall. Her kindness, compassion and thoughtfulness were second to none.

We ask that you all please join us in lifting her loving family and friends in prayer in their time of grief.

Roman’s 1:16-17 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
