Agnes Anne Merritt

Anne quietly passed away in her sleep in the company of her loving husband Roy Merritt, and her brother Dr. Robert J A Fife of Scotland, on Thursday March 22nd.  Anne was an English teacher by profession, earning her credentials teaching in the inner city schools of Glasgow.  Reading was her main passion in life apart from being with her family and friends.  A teacher at heart always, she turned her hand to teaching safe boating classes to the public and fellow boaters through the Titusville Sail and Power Squadron education program where she was the Squadron' Education Officer for three years, and latterly the Squadron Commander for two years.

Anne is survived by her husband, Roy Merritt of Titusville, her brother Dr. Robert J. A. Fife of Glasgow Scotland and his wife, Kim Fife, son Matthew Fife and daughter Emma Fife.

A celebration of life with be held 3 pm Thursday at North Brevard Funeral Home and the family receive friends from 2 to 3 pm before the service.
