Oaklawn Memorial Gardens has been a intricate part of the greater Titusville area community since the 1890's, when Garden Street was just a dirt path going West out of Titusville. Oaklawn has grown to 27 developed acres and is one of the most beautiful cemetery's in all of Brevard County.     • Jimmie Prevatt
      Jimmie Prevatt, Licensed Funeral Director/Founder

      Jimmie was born and raised in Palatka, Florida, and has been a licensed Funeral Director since 1961. Mr. Prevatt started as the first manager, and then owner, of North Brevard Funeral Home
      in 1973, and continues to serve families at the same facility nearly 40 years later.

      Prior to North Brevard Funeral Home, Jimmie was the owner of the Prevatt Funeral Home in Port St. Joe, Florida, and also the assistant manager of the Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Orlando,
      Florida. After Lamar Hudgins joined Jimmie at North Brevard in 1979, they purchased the beautiful Oaklawn Memorial Park in Titusville, where both locations are still jointly operated to this day.

      During his ongoing 53 years in the funeral profession, Jimmie has been an active member in many Titusville community organizations, and in both the First Baptist Church of Titusville, and St. Gabriel’s Episcopal Church.

      For the past 32 years, Jimmie has been on the Board of Directors of The St. Francis Hospice.

      Travel is one of his favorite activities. He and his wife Nancie have visited all 50 States, and are active with 3 RV Club’s.

    • Lamar Hudgins
      Lamar Hudgins, Licensed Funeral Director

      Lamar entered funeral service in 1958 in Palatka, Florida, and moved to enter into partnership with Jimmie Prevatt at North Brevard Funeral Home in Titusville in 1979.

      Lamar has always been active in many Titusville civic affairs including serving on the Board of Directors for the Titusville Chamber of Commerce, and the Titusville Rotary Club. Lamar is also a long time Member of the Park Avenue Baptist Church in Titusville.

    • Michael H. Kelly
      Michael H. Kelly, Managing Partner

      Michael joined the staff of North Brevard Funeral Home as the Managing Partner in 2010. He began his funeral service career in 1988 in Florida and graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management. In 1995 Mike earned an Associated Degree in Mortuary Science from Gupton Jones College in Atlanta, GA. Mike is a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in Florida and Georgia.
      Mike and his wife, Deana, live in Brevard County with their basset hounds, Mia and Marsellus.

    • David Ferguson
      David Ferguson, Licensed Funeral Director

      David started his funeral career at North Brevard Funeral Home in 1992. He is a life-long resident of Brevard County.

      He is a graduate of Astronaut High School and St. Petersburg College, where he completed his Mortuary Science Degree in 1997.

      David, his wife Ruth and daughter Shelby, are members of the First Baptist Church of Aurantia. He is the Past President and charter member of the Sunrise Kiwanis Club of Titusville; a 32 degree Master Mason, and a member of the Gateway Masonic Lodge #384 F.& A.M.

      David is currently a Board Member for the Jess Parrish Medical Foundation.

    • Deana T. Kelly
      Deana T. Kelly, Funeral Director

      Deana joined the North Brevard team in 2011. She began her funeral service career in Atlanta, GA in 1995 and is currently a licensed funeral director in Florida, Georgia, Arkansas and Louisiana. When not working Deana enjoys spending time with family, scrapbooking and taking care of her 2 dogs.

    • Penny Woolf
      Penny Woolf, Office Manager at North Brevard Funeral Home

      Penny has been the Office Administrator at North Brevard for over 10 years. Prior to that, Penny was employed at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in Titusville for 5 years.

      She loves her involvement in the funeral profession, which gives her the opportunity to help in comforting and assisting our neighbors at one of the most traumatic times in their lives. Her knowledge of office procedures and State compliances guarantee perfection for all of our client famililes, either at a time of death or for their pre-arranged services.

      Penny was born in California and moved to Titusville in 1986 from Texas. She is involved in several Titusville organizations including the Eastern Star and the Does; and is a volunteer with the Hospice of St. Francis. She is also a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church in Titusville.

    • Jay Feagan
      Jay Feagan, Grounds Superintendent at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens

      Jay started a part-time maintenance position at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in 1993. In 1996, He became the Grounds Superintendent of Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, with over 28 developed acres of cemetery property under his direct responsibility.

      Jay's dedication and hard work over the years since has enabled Oaklawn Memorial Gardens to become a beautiful and serene cemetery location, while at the same time providing all families service excellence with any type of burial, entombment or cremated remains interment desired.

      Jay married his wife Karen in 1999, and they have two sons; Matthew and Michael.

    • Kim Carpenter
      Kim Carpenter, Family Service Manager

      Kim joined the sales team as the Family Service Manager at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens in January 2012. Though new to a career in the cemetery industry, she brings over 20 years of sales experience to the position. She graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1986 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational/ Business Communications.
      Though Kim lived in Brevard County for 6 years in the 1980’s, she returned in 2004 and has made the City of Titusville her permanent residence. She became a new mother in December 2008, giving birth to triplets – Daniel, Matthew and Emmeline.

    • Jean Elliott
      Jean Elliott, Cemetery Administrator

      Jean has 12 years combined experience in the death care industry in a cemetery administrative capacity. Additionally, she has 25 years experience with a bookkeeping background.
      Her skills and knowledge of cemetery operations has enabled Oaklawn Memorial Gardens to maintain a high level of family satisfaction as well as meeting all state and local requirements in cemetery administrative responsibilities.
      She served as a volunteer with Keep Brevard Beautiful for 2 years and participated in the Secret Garden Tour held annually in Brevard County.
      Jean was born in New Hampshire and lived in Kentucky and Tennessee before relocating to Florida in 1997. She shares her home with one cat and enjoys reading and gardening in her leisure time.
