Susan Y Campbell

Susan Campbell, 68, of Titusville, formerly of Jacksonville, lost her battle with cancer on 27 November 2017. The only child of Floyd and Pearl Smith Yarbrough, Susan was born Aug. 12, 1949 in Richland, WA.  She spent her childhood in Titusville where she attended Titusville High School.  Following high school, Susan earned a BA from UF and an MA from UNF.  During her career, she taught in Duval County public schools and FSCJ.   After retiring, she and her husband, Scott, returned to Titusville.  She always had a love of the water and once lived on a sailboat named Gypsy Wind.  One of only a few women at the time, she held a captain’s license for 6 passengers for hire.   Susan is survived by her beloved husband, Scott, two aunts and 1 uncle, Geneva Pace of Virginia Beach, VA., Betty Pace of Atlanta, GA., and Aldwin Yarbrough of Martinez, GA. She is also survived by the daughter of her heart, Donna Brinson, and Donna’s husband, Mark, and sons, Daniel and Timothy Brinson, all of Moultrie, GA.  Other survivors include cousins Bettye Sue Eaton and Julie Sumner and several more wonderful cousins and friends.  In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held.  Interment will be at a later date in Funston Georgia Cemetery under the direction of Cobb Funeral Home.  Arrangements by North Brevard Funeral Home.  You may leave condolences to the family at www.northbrevardfuneralhome.com
