Mae Mart Michals

Mae Mart Michals, born in Kansas City Missouri, died at the age of 91 on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 in Green Acres, FL. Mae was the oldest daughter of Ruth and Sidney Mart and best known for her quick wit and fabulous sense of humor. She played the piano for hours every night and anyone in the family was welcome to sit and listen. It was a common event to have a large number of people as her houseguests.

She loved to dance and became a member of the Tommy Vance Dancers, the Golden Steppers and the Martin Anderson Tappers. Under Tommy Vance’s tutelage, the senior volunteers prepared performances for area nursing homes, banquets, condo associations, high schools and other special functions.

Mae was the best wife a husband could have. She and Chet were married 67 years with never a dull moment. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Diana Giglia of Huntington, NY, Gregory Michals and his wife Peggy of Waconia, Minnesota and Brian Michals and his wife Sue of Lake Worth, FL.

A service will be held at North Brevard Funeral Home in Titusville at 10am, Saturday, February 18, 2017. Donations can be made to the Brevard Alzheimer’s Association – Titusville Adult Daycare.
