In response to Dad's wishes, his ashes were spread at the Marina he developed before we departed Florida on our return to the mountains. Although we wished he would have come here to live with us; his love for the water; warm weather; and to remain among his many friends and acquaintances throughout the greater Port St John and Cocoa areas had to be respected.
Dad was and will always remain the most important influence in my life. Aside from raising me; he was always available if I ever needed to talk. His love for Steve was greater than a Father & Son relationship and at times I often thought they were both cut from the same cloth.
There were many changes through the years and the past couple seemed to be the most difficult as Dad expressed his sorrow over the passing of his many friends and associates. In fact in Dad's own words; my Christmas and Birthday card list is growing shorter each year and then adding "the closer we get to the end of the toilet paper, the faster it goes" such as it does in life. One could not help but smile whenever he would say this ....
Dad will be missed by all that knew and loved him; above all, he will be missed by Steve and myself for we knew as did his closest friends; that he will be watching over each of us to make sure will stay on the straight and narrow....

Dearest Jean was a very dear friend to my husband, Michael, and me for many years. Capt. Jean, Capt. Bob Styer, and my husband were best of friends. We all shared many memorable boating trips together. Memories I will treasure always. Loved our last few dinners together in 2015 and 2016! God's blessings to you dear friend!
