Gene Calvin Parker Sr

Gene C Parker Sr, 89, passed away December 5, 2017.  He was born July 29, 1928, in Mooresville, North Carolina.

Gene was a veteran of the Korean War as a Corporal.  Gene was a space veteran of KSC from 1965-1996 on the Mercury, Gemini, Apollo and Space Shuttle programs.Gene is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth “Lib” Parker, and is survived by his four sons, Gene Calvin Parker Jr., John Parker, Duncan Blake Parker, and William Scott Parker, and their wives, eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at 1:00 pm and the funeral service at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 10th, 2017 at North Brevard Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
