Frederick Wallace Smith

FREDERICK WALLACE SMITH TITUSVILLE Frederick Wallace Smith, 82, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2018. He was born February 4, 1936 to Frances and S. Wallace Smith in Charlottesville, VA. In 1956, he married the love of his life Mildred Marie Solano and they celebrated that love for 51 years until her passing. He was preceded in death by their son Yancey Lee Smith. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife and parents.  He will forever be remembered as a Patriot that loved his Country and man that cherished his family. He was very proud of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and shared a special bond with all of his fellow Marines. He is survived by sons, Frederick Jenkins and Jay (Donna) Smith; daughter, Dana (Brian) Blickley; grandchildren, Courtney Marie (Beau) Sheridan, Jessica Rae Blickley, and Jared Lee (Rebecca) Blickley; great-grandson, Beau Reed Sheridan, his special friends Jeff Siebel and Robert & Carol Yancey and many nieces and nephews, other family members and good friends who will miss his loving spirit. His family wishes to thank the caring people of Hospice of St. Francis for their gift of bringing comfort to him in his final days before going home.  In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored with donations to National Veterans Homeless Support, Inc., 7075 N. Cocoa Blvd., Suite 700, Port St. John, FL  32927, in loving memory of Fred.  Calling hour will be held from 9 to 10 a.m., Saturday, February 10, 2018, at North Brevard Funeral Home, Titusville, FL. A Celebration of Fred’s life will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, February 10, 2018, at North Brevard Funeral Home, with burial following at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.
