Eileen L Smith

Eileen (Strauss) Smith passed away peacefully on June 8th, 2017. Eileen was born in Astoria, Queens, New York on December 21st, 1956. Her family relocated to Florida in 1965. She was part of the first graduating class at Astronaut High School in 1974. Eileen moved to Stuart, Florida after graduation with her parents and siblings. Shortly after, she began her 40-year career at Grumman Aerospace, which took her from Stuart to Kennedy Space Center and ultimately Melbourne. Eileen married the love of her life Terry, in 1975. They returned to Titusville in 1986 where they raised their two children.

Eileen enjoyed spending time at the beach and had an enormous love for music as well as for her family and friends.

Eileen is survived by her husband Terry, son Jason (Ashley) Smith, and daughter Elizabeth Smith; granddaughters Brinadette and Shelby Smith; sisters Susan Strauss and Patti (John) Madeiros; brothers Danny (Becky) Strauss and Kenny (Anita) Strauss.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Helen Strauss.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 17th at 1:00 p.m., Sand Point Park Pavilion in Titusville.
