Alan Marsden

Alan Harold Marsden, 71, passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017 with his family by his side.

Alan was born on December 20, 1945 in Hutchinson, Kansas to Lionel and Esther Marsden. Alan served in the U.S. Navy and was a plankowner serving on the USS John F. Kennedy when it was first commissioned. Alan retired from the Florida Marine Patrol as a Major. He enjoyed traveling in his RV with his wife Nancy and enjoyed Amateur Radio.

Alan is survived by his wife of 49 years Nancy Jane (Dykes) Marsden; daughters Gwendolyn Colvin, Stephanie Liquori (Tony), Abbie Miller (Joshua); and his son Christopher Marsden (Jennifer); his mother Esther Marsden; sisters Pamela Jones (Herman) and Laura Webber (Henry); eleven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Lionel and an infant granddaughter.

A memorial service will be held at Crosswalk Community Church at 11am on Wednesday, December 6, 2017.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of St. Francis, The American Cancer Society, or The American Kidney Association.
